Rapid Assessment, Correction & Assurance of Data Quality

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust instructed us to address data reporting issues on their RTT waiting lists – with the majority focused on improving data quality. The Trust also wanted to make sustainable improvements to their processes and accountability frameworks to ensure their data was accurate and all patients were safely tracked.

Our solution

  • Established a Programme Management Office with a lead on designing and delivering the comprehensive data quality improvement plan.
  • Developed and embedded clear performance management frameworks/governance structures, with regular reporting to internal and external executives (and regulators).
  • Provided highly skilled validators to deliver rapid correction of at-risk pathways using our sampling methodology, which delivered a fast-paced resolution.
  • Carried out root cause analysis of all data quality issues leading to associated sustainable improvement and training recommendations.

  • Identified 88% of pathways as not requiring validation
